Purpose and audience

Online Asphalt Calculator is a free planning resource for people estimating asphalt quantities and costs in the United States. Its calculators and guides are designed to make assumptions visible and help readers prepare better questions for a supplier or contractor. They are not engineering design, property inspection, or a quote.

How content is created

Calculator pages explain the formula, units, and assumptions used to produce a result. Guides are written to answer a specific planning question and link back to the relevant calculator or source material. We do not publish a page merely by changing a keyword, location name, or number in an existing page.

Where a claim relies on an external source, we add a direct link and state the source's scope. The site's own calculations, unit conversions, and editable planning inputs are identified separately from external reference data. See methodology and data sources.

Review and updates

• Source-based claims carry a source URL and retrieval date where practical.
• Calculator defaults are checked for consistency with their explanation pages.
• Calculation and build checks are run before a code change is published.
• Price ranges are planning references, not real-time or local quotes.

We may update wording, sources, or defaults when supporting information changes. A displayed date indicates when the cited material or affected page was reviewed; it does not turn the result into a project-specific guarantee.

Corrections and feedback

To report a correction, send the page URL, the specific figure or statement, and a supporting source through the contact page. We can review supported factual or formula issues, but cannot use feedback to diagnose a particular site, driveway, or contractor proposal.

Commercial transparency

The site currently does not present sponsored reviews, contractor rankings, or affiliate recommendations as independent advice. If a paid, affiliate, or sponsored relationship is added in the future, it will be identified clearly near the relevant content.

Limits
